Bakris a social-purpose organisation committed to making animal welfare more accessible to pets and owners in London and beyond. We believe that support should be community-focused and rooted in real-life needs. Animals have a right to protection, care and respect, and struggling pet owners deserve guidance and compassion, not judgement or barriers to support.
our goals
There are many ways to advocate for animals, be that through policy and legal reform, education, research, community engagement, ethical practice, direct support or cultural change. Bakris is centred around support for pet owners by providing online guidance, redirecting to the right contacts and charities or by serving the community directly with practical projects.
Our current focus is on educational content that supports informed, responsible animal care. Direct welfare support services are part of our longer-term plans and will be introduced as the project develops.
